Dr. Henning is a research biochemist in the Military Performance Division at the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine in Natick, MA where he conducts research to enhance/sustain warfighter performance and prevent musculoskeletal injuries. His educational background includes a BS degree in Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University, PA, and a master’s and doctorate degree in Exercise Physiology from The Florida State University.
His research at Florida State University focused on the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating myofiber size in response to aging, catabolic stress and nutritional interventions. He has presented abstracts at regional and national conferences and has published in scientific journals. He is also a writer and speaker for Tactical Strength and Conditioning which focuses on performance enhancement for the tactical athlete (military, police, and firefighters).
Paul is a current member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and he is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Paul is also a regular writer for Natural Muscle magazine. Paul has a genuine passion for health, fitness, and nutrition.
